SPUD the hardest working rotty in rescue
Rojam the Hero
Well Rojam came into rescue at about 7 yrs old , a big lad with a big heart . Rojams new owners lived next door to an elderly couple who took a shine to Rojam so a gate was put in the fence for Rojam to pop in and say hello every day and get a few extra treats . Unfortunately the elderly gentelman passed away , So Rojams daily visits became welcome in more ways than one .
Well the usual routine was Rojams owners Ann or Simon would just pop their heads out the back door and call him , and through the fence he would come running. Then one day Rojam could be heard barking , so Rojam was called but he kept on barking and did not appear , so Ann went next door to see what was going on , It turned out the lady next door had had a fall and couldn't get up Rojam was sat next to her barking and wouldn't leave her side , he just sat there barking untill help arrived . in our eyes a real Hero

LEWIS'S STORY

THE LAD HIMSELF LEWIS A J TEACHING LEWIS TO GIVE PAW
Hi John and Mags,
Hope you are both doing well,
We did our first visit on Friday and everything went very well, the residents like him because they could see him without moving too much. We spent about 1 ½ hours there and have been invited back for photographs to be taken next time in the gardens, I will send those if you want at a later date.
By the time Lewis had finished his travels he struggled moving round with all the biscuits that he eat (of course he hated eating every one) but felt that he had too!!! He also had his first ride in a lift which was an experience for us both, I hate them and he couldn’t understand why it had a dog just like him in it (mirror), so that was entertaining. After the morning there, all the staff and residents were glad we went and poor Lewis spent most of the afternoon sleeping, he must of been worn out because he didn’t want to go out for an evening walk.
Keep up the good work and take care.
See you soon,
Mark, Jackie & Lewis

Well what can I say Paris came into our rescue again a young dog not wanted ,why is anybody's guess .
from the time I first met Paris I new she had special qualities .
I just diddn't realise just how special this young dogs role in life would be .
When I met Derek and his family and the addorable Kodi
and introduced them to Paris and watched how
Paris interacted with Kodi I new given time and and with the right
training this young girl Paris had a very important role to play
in helpin Kodi enjoy life to the full .
Part of an email we have recieved
Dear Jon and Mags,
Hope you are both well. As promised I am writing a few lines about our deaf Rottie Kodi and her new friendship with Paris the rescue Rottie. I have also attached a few photos.
We have had Kodi since she was 8 weeks old and she is the most adorable Rottie pup. We were upset to find out recently (following a BAER Test) that she is (and always has been) stone deaf. We were advised that a hearing companion may well help to bring Kodi on in terms of confidence and aiding in recall.
We already knew of you and Mags through Mike and Carol (with Furgus, Jet and Skye) and made contact to see if you had any suitable Rescue Rotties that could fill this important role.
We came across and you thought Paris would be a suitable companion for Kodi as she seemed to show a protective/herding instinct towards others. (This has definitely proved to be correct)
Paris has settled in very well and is a great companion to Kodi and our family (Derek, Karen and Adam). She is a very sweet natured girl . Whilst we appreciate it is still early days we feel fairly confident that we have the right dog for Kodi and our family
