H i everyone
Well i best tell you a bit about me first, , i came to live with me mom and dad about 2 yrs ago , and boy do i luv it , cos i always got loads of mates to play wiv . weve had big uns and little uns to stay , sometimes i go out wiv me dad in his van to help a dog that needs my help, some of the stories they tell me makes your tail curl [ if only i had one hee hee ]. but we soon get them sorted out.
My bestest mate is Starling the cat, but i dont think she knows it yet cos she still hits me on the nose now and again , but i cant help sniffing and kissing her cos i luv her .
Well i will try and get on this pewtter thingy as often as i can, but my umans is on it most of the time,well you knows what they are like, allways think they knows best . But im slowly training them to come round to my way of thinking , but it takes time as you know umans are not the quickest of learners, i mean what other breed haf to to spend 12 years in skool .

SPUD WINS BEST IN SHOW
hi all
well wot a weekend we av had , me , my dad 'n' mom and little Mara went to the brilliant DOGS UNLEASHED EVENT at newark to do fun things like help promote rescue dogs , the breed and riase funds for the rescue etc . As some may know I like to be shown off now and again ,so we entered the dog show and I got through in the best rescue section to whats called the best in show part and guess wot I WON IT . They said and the best in show goes to the rottweiler and they pionted at me ,my dad was realy proud , and seamed realy pleased , I got lots of extra treats and people coming up and saying well done to me dad and making a big fuss of me .

well its been a while but ive at last managed to get some surfing in on this pewter thingy .
Boy as it been busy , lots of rug rats and bigger dogs to deal with , but all my times took up latley wiv a young lad who needs me and me dads help . Baily is his name , but I dont understand it hes only young but cant play much ,oh boy I hope he's not going to be another Fin I realy miss that little guy .
Well we had a great time the other week , me, dad and me mom met up with some of the dogs we av helped and it was great Bonnie turned up and guess wot a couple of her rug rats turned up aswell ,boy they are big now molly and fagan were there plus big Si and his lad Ty, pluss my bestest m8 Bodie , and Wilma plus loads more,
I am proud to say that apart from everything else Spud does in the rescue he is a registered blood donor ,the pic above is of him donating blood and as you can see he is quite relaxed about it all . He really does love all the fuss and attention he gets from the nurses and the vet when he donates, it doesn't bother him one bit . SAD DAYS , AND HAPPY DAYS and being under house arrest

Well its been a while since I have been on this pewter thingy . Boy has a lot been happening, first we had a very special dog called little Fin come to stay , boy that was a real sad time , for those who don’t know baby Fin was in a bad way , sadly little Fin went to a place called the rainbow bridge my dad says he’s now happy there and free from pain .My dad and mom were really sad for ages , me dad tried to tell me about it but I was sad too ,and I don’t know what passed away means .
I don’t understand it .my dad saves dogs why couldn’t he save little Fin he was a great buddy to have around .

Then we had 4 more rug rats stop for a while , that was fun as usual .
But the biggest shock I ever have had in my life was when me dad comes home with a girl called Bonnie and she was really, really fat
[ I know that’s not nice to say about girls but she was ] .
But oh my god did I have a shock , 4 days after stopping here me mom and dad start panicking rushing around saying things like “ do we need hot water and towels “ I was put in another room out of the way so im not sure what happened but the next morning there was loads and loads of the smallest rug rats I have ever seen . It must have shocked Bonnie as well cos she lost loads of weight over nite and looked skinny .
Funny thing is though she was allowed to let them keep biting her on her belly all the time . but me I could only see them through the “your not allowed in there gate “ . But then about a week or so later Bonnie had to go to the Dr’s for a special operation , and that’s when the fun started me, my mom and dad started looking after them , it was really strange but every few hours there was this really nice smell and me dad would have loads of little tub things and give it to the tiny rug rats , then I could sniff them and lick them Bonnie diddn’t mind at all and would help out now and again , but I think she got fed up with them biting her all the time and was more happy just to sit there and watch most of the time .
Well the tiny ones soon started to get big and turned into normal size rug rats , it was great playtime all the time , the only thing was me dad and me were not allowed out for ages , me mom said we were on house arrest , I could only play in the garden and me dad was not even allowed to have friends around ,they all had to stop at the gate. But that wasnt that bad ,as it gave me loads of time with me dad instead of him rushing out all the time .

ITS A DOGS LIFE
And what a great life it is , get up in the morning do what a boys got to do , then back in a bit of brekkie , nick some cat food [ just to let the cat know whos boss ], then its in the van , oh by the way I best tell you about THE VAN , why do umans think its good to make a van look like a dogs walked all over it ?, me dad often say to people you cant miss the van ITS GOT PAW PRINTS ALL DOWN BOTH SIDES you cant miss it.
But when i jump up on it wiv muddy paws you tell me off and wipe MY PAW PRINTS OFF IT , MAKE YOUR MIND UP OLD UN YOU EITHER WANT IT FULL OF PAW PRINTS OR YOU DONT .
Where was I , oh yes about my day then its in the van and out and about visting dogs in prison or in taking them to the Drs etc . Then I send the old fella into the sauage shop [ he calls it a Chip shop ,so why do I only ever gert a sausage from them ? ], then I do a bit of traing with himself he's comming on nicely by the way , but still not got the idea that if he throws things away im not there just to go and fetch them for him , dad if you want it dont chuck it away .
Then its home for tea and and give mom some slobbery kisses and have 40 winks, ready for my midnight play time .

sausages and micro chips 1/02/08
Well what a weekend boy av I been busy , me dad says to me right fella lets go Chipping ,ummm lip smaking day out thinks me must be going to look for new sausage shops [or chip shops as he calls them ] hold on dad I'll get my lead .
Well first stop was to the prison to see some dogs and guess what there was loads of them little uns and big uns , so we go into this room and me dad starts getting dressed up ,rubber gloves and things, me thinks oh no hes finaly flipped he thinks hes a Dr .
Then he says right lets get started and in comes a dog and me dad starts to move this thing about him waving it about like it was a magic wand or something , then he gets a needle thing and stabs the little fella with it then waves his magic wand over him again, and guess what the dog started beeping just like the bags of treats in the pet shop do , and he gives him a treat and i get one just for watching .
My dad says to the umans there you go, if he gets lost now everyone will know who he belongs to, and put a tag on his collar to let everyone know he can beep, well this happens a load of times and each time its a treat for them and one for me , who needs a sausage shop when all I got to do to get a load of treats is sit there and watch me dad work his magic and make dogs beep .

Another rug rat 22/10/08
Hi guy's ,been a while since I ad time to chat ,but the oldies av gone to bed so I thought i would get on this pewter thingy . Boy it seems its non stop here at "chez spud " . There's allways a pal to help ,well me dads brought home another rug rat , wot a cheeky fella he his ,keeps trying to steel me toys , and he tried eating me dinner out of MY DISH . But you got to like him hes good to play with , his name is Hamish and me dad says he's 12 weeks old , funny thing though wiv a name like Hamish you think he would bark wiv a scottish accent , like wee jock on the telly , but me dad says hes a "cock on the knee" , me dad does come out wiv some strange things but he usaly meens well .

Well its been a while , but ive finaly managed to get back on this pewter thingy , me and me dad have been busy ,visiting some dogs up at the prison .
And I been helping out at home looking after little Riley , boy he's great just wants to play all the time .
Well you never guess wot appened today , me mom says she wants to go shopping ,so me dad says no probs ,tell you wot me and Spud is going up the prison today so why dont you come wiv us, great thinks me a day out wiv me dad and me MOM .
So off we goes to see a new lad thats come in , He looks like hes going to be a good un ,loves playing and right friendly .
So after a while me mom say " Im hungry " and me dad say ok lets go up the chip shop . way hay thinks me time for a sausage , nice one im a bit peckish meself dad.
when we get there me mom goes in ,but I dont think she's qite got the hang of things , cos she comes out wiv a parcel and me dad drives off and they stop down the way abit , and the old un says right what did you get ? , fish n chips says me mom and guess wot ,not a sausage for me . Boy its took me ages to train my dad where the sausage shop is conserned , now it looks like im going to have to start right at the begining again , if me mom is going to come wiv us regular , boy it looks like this training thing is an on going lark wiv umans .

26/02/08wots a burfday
hi guys himself has gone to bed so i thought i get a bit of surfing in.
Well wot a supprise I got the other day , first off me dad rushed out and was gone ages all by himself . then the fone rings and I hear my mom say just bring it home we will sort it .
Well wot a shock i got when me dad got home he comes in wiv wot looked like a new cuddly toy for me , but when I have a sniff of it ,IT WAS REAL and started to wriggle and move , funny thing though i remember that smell but cant think where from ?. Well you never gues wot it was it was a mini me ,looked just like me but tiny ,so being on my best behaviour I laid down to get a better look , it was right funny he wobbled when he walked and was trying to suckle of me , me mom just laughed and said, arrr look hes trying to get some milk , but mom im a dog not the
co-op.
Turns out he is only 4 weeks old and was found dumped on a door step, we have called him Broxi and hes at the Drs now for a day or 2 , just to make sure hes ok . Thats him in the pics wiv me and my foster sister maggie

A mini me22/01/08
Well its been a busy couple of weeks for me and my dad, weve been out and about doing what we do , visiting the prison and seeing the dogs there , I have a new foster sister ,Cassy she is called, an old lady of 6 years old ,boy whot a hard life she has had , but she is ok , strange thing though she dont play much just likes to lay in front of the fire, and yet when young Maggie was here she allways wanted to play , I suppose i will never understand women .
what a week this week it has been , it was whot my umans said was me burfday , well I know words like sit and stay and things so what are they thinks me, but hey they are great you gets loads of treats and new toys and everything , and guess wot me dad brought mini me, to see me , boy has that little un grown , the only bad thing was me dad singing a silly song , it goes like this , appy burfday to you ,appy burfday to you and it goes on and on when all i was thinking is forget that dad lets just all play and have some more treats, then me umans say right lad your a number now 1 . BUT DAD IM NOT A NUMBER IM A DOG , mini me it turns out was only visting as me dad says he was going to his new forever home the next day , but boy burfdays are great ,think i will have another one next week .
